A movie title scene featuring a tale of queer tragedy. The story of Hyacinthus and Apollo is once again retold through the lens of a film camera. This one minute, four second footage imagines what a title sequence for a movie based on the tragedy of Hyacinthus would be.

The Myth
Hyacinthus was a beautiful Spartan prince beloved by the god Apollo. The two spent their days together hunting, talking, and playing sports, especially throwing the discus. The two were inseparable and their love was the source of envy from many other gods.
One day, Apollo threw the discus high into the air and as Hyacinthus ran to catch it, the wind god Zephyrus—jealous of Hyacinthus’s affection for Apollo—blew it off course. The discus struck Hyacinthus and killed him. Heartbroken, Apollo refused to let Hades take him and instead transformed Hyacinthus’s spilled blood into a flower that would bear his name, immortalizing his beauty and their love.
